Capchase is a fintech company based in Boston and founded by two Harvard Business School students.
The company solves a problem for SaaS companies worldwide: getting cash today from future accounts receivables. Invoice and receivables financing usually comes in the form of debt, which presents two problems: i) the underwriting of debt is time-consuming, and ii) the debt appears on the company’s balance sheet, which may be undesirable.
Companies provide Capchase with details of the contracts with their customers and their financial history. Capchase uses its underwriting algorithms to quickly assess the quality of those contracts and extend a financing line. The startup is part of the “non-dilutive revolution” and, more importantly, bypasses issues such as company solvency altogether and concentrates instead on each contract’s creditworthiness
